Before moving to Chicago, I spent several years living and performing in New Orleans—a city where music isn’t something you listen to, it’s something you live. It’s also where my family hails from, so my roots run deep there. The energy, spontaneity, and joy that define New Orleans music left a lasting impression on me, and I was determined to bring a little of that spirit to Chicago. I also brought with me a seemingly unrealistic amount of confidence that I could build a career around it.
I studied music in college and always knew I wanted to make a living doing what I loved. In fact, when I started this business, I told my mom that if I couldn’t make it work within a year, I’d go back to school and become an accountant. Fortunately, the music thing stuck. No offense to accountants—we need you, and your spreadsheets terrify me.
What began as a simple idea has grown into Sway Chicago, our flagship society event band, and the larger family of ensembles that make up Biossat Custom Productions. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of performing with some of the most talented musicians imaginable and helping create celebrations for thousands of couples, families, organizations, and guests throughout Chicagoland and beyond.
What I learned from New Orleans—and from a lifetime spent on stage—is that music isn’t just entertainment. It’s how people celebrate, connect, and create memories. It’s the moment a packed dance floor erupts when the band plays the perfect song. It’s grandparents dancing alongside college friends. It’s the sing-along at the end of the night when nobody wants the party to be over.
That’s what inspires us every time we step on stage.
Our mission has always been simple: hire extraordinary musicians, treat every event like it’s the most important one we’ve ever played, and create an experience your guests will be talking about long after the last note. If your guests lose their voices from singing, your feet hurt from dancing, and your photographer captures a room full of joy, we’ve done our job.

Sway is a scalable live band of 7 to 15 pieces. The core is keys, bass, drums, guitar, and 3 to 5 vocalists, and we can add 1 to 4 horns and 1 to 3 violins. We build the format around your room, your program, and your audience, from a jazz trio for a private dinner to a full band for a large gala.
Yes! Although, we do not invite potential clients to attend other couples’ weddings, we do schedule public band showcases
where you can preview the band live.

We are a scalable band from 7-15 pieces, depending on the size of the event. Our core band consists of our rhythm section (Keys, Bass, Drums & Guitar, and 3-5 vocalists. From there we add 1-4 horns and 1-3 violins.
We have some great options for Ceremony music. Whether you would like a solo piano, or a string quartet, we provide you with guidance in selecting all of the music that fits you for your wedding.

YES! Even if your favorite song is not on the SWAYLIST, there is a good chance we already know it. If we don’t know it, we are happy to learn it. Just ask.
Sway has played at many of Chicagoland’s most popular wedding venues and premier venues throughout the suburbs. If you have a specific venue in mind, just ask—chances are, we’ve played there!
Once you decide Sway Chicago is your entertainment of choice, we will send you a simple 1 page contract based off the initial proposal that we agreed upon. If the contract is agreeable, then typically, a downpayment of 50% is required at the time of a contract signing.
We do have limited liability insurance. If a venue needs to be named on the policy for a specific event, our insurance company will issue a COI of our policy, including who needs to be named on the certificate.
